Legal Fees

Steve Jarmon and the legal team of Ciccarelli Lawyers strives to provide employment law legal services at a reasonsable fee that takes into consideration both the nature of our services and the needs of our clients.  Attorney fees  are the costs of legal representation that an attorney’s client incurs.   Attorney’s fees are assessed in a number of ways, usually set by contract in advance of the representation, including by billable hours, flat fees, or contingent fees:

  • Consultation Fee:  In some cases our clients are not seeking active represntation but rather our services in evaluation their employment issue such as the review or drafting of an employment agreement or severance agreement.
  • Fixed Fee: In the case of an unemployment compensation hearing representation, the most reasonable and economical arrangement is a fixed fee for our services in advocating your position.
  • Hourly Fee:  In some cases like employment contract drafting or long term engagements, the most economical model is for our office to charge an hourly fee for our services.
  • Modified Contingency Fee:  In complex employment litigation matters including employment discrimination and wage payment claims, our office balances our client’s financial situation with the signficant costs of fighting for our clients by offering a modified contingency fee; our attorney fees are contingent on winning the case though an up front retainer is required toward start up costs and litigation costs.
  • Contingency Fee:  In Workers Compensation and Social Security Disability cases, our fees our contingent upon our success and subject to the approval of the Workers Compensation Judge and Social Security Administration.

In either case, we understand the tough economic times and the economic duress caused when hiring an attorney and try to work with our clients by providing alternate forms of payment such as allowing credit card payments with most credit cards such as Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.
