Retaliation in the Work Place

Facing retaliation by your employer in your job in West Chester, Chester County or the Philadelphia region?  Steve Jarmon aggressively prosecutes Retaliation claims with the same prosecutorial zeal he used as a former prosecutor.   Contact West Chester PA employment attorney Steve Jarmon if you are facing employer retaliation for standing up for your civil rights.

Retaliation in the work place occurs when an employee is subjected to harassment or punishment because they reported alleged discrimination to their employer or filed a complaint against their employer for alleged discrimination.  Here an employer could be liable for retaliating against an employee for reporting discrimination even if the employer is deemed to have not committed the underlying discrimination.

The key here is that the law wants to encourage people to report misconduct and it does not want them to fear losing their job or being subjected to ridicule if they exercise their rights.  Otherwise, discrimination in the work place would go unchecked because employees would be afraid to step out of the shadows and expose their employer’s wrongful conduct to the light. If you feel that you have been retaliated against for exercising your rights you need action and you need justice.
